 The
Texoma District invites members from Central and Wheat States districts to
join it on March 8-9, 2012 in Oklahoma City for the annual spring district
meeting. The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown
Hotel. The activities begin on Thursday March 8 with a golf outing in the
afternoon, and a banquet in the evening. The technical sessions will begin
Friday morning and will adjourn later in the afternoon.
The golf tournament will be held at
Willow Creek Golf and
Country Club. A lunch will be provided between 11:00 and 12:00 with tee
times beginning at noon.

Following golf, a reception and banquet will begin at the hotel at 6:30 pm.
Accommodation
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown
Hotel at a special rate of $119.00 (plus tax). Mention "IAOM" or
“International Association of Operative Millers” when making reservations.
The rate is good for the night of March 9 depending on availability for
those who would like to extend their stays. Call 1-405-235-2780.
To guarantee this special rate and to ensure availability, reservations must
be made no later than February 15.
We are excited for this opportunity host a joint meeting with these three
great districts. I hope you will be

worthwhile technical session for your benefit. Dress for the meetings is

This year the Central
District's annual winter conference will be at the New Theatre Restaurant on
Friday, December 9th.
The Allied Trades have once
again agreed to sponsor a social hour which will begin at 5:30 in the Regency
Room. At 6:30 we will be seated in the Theatre for a delicious dinner, and the
opening curtain for the play will be at 7:40. Don’t miss this opportunity to
network with Milling Industry colleagues and catch up with old friends, it's
sure to be an enjoyable evening.
The play we are going to see is
a comedy called, “Game Show” by Jeffrey Finn and Bob Walton and starring John
O'Hurley. You have probably seen John in one of his many roles including
Seinfeld, Family Feud, and Dancing with the Stars. The comedy you play, GAME
SHOW is set during a "live broadcast" of a fictional TV game show. Audience
members are picked as contestants to play the game and win actual prizes.
We have purchased 60 tickets
for this event and would greatly appreciate your advance registration. We may
be able to get additional tickets once they are gone, but seating is not
guaranteed. Please use the
registration form to
let us know if you and a spouse/guest will be attending. Don’t miss this fun
evening register today! Registration should be made no later than
November 4th.
If you need a hotel room there
are several in the area: Embassy Suites, Marriott Overland Park and Sheraton
Overland Park just to name a few. We have not blocked any rooms at these
hotels, and you will need to contact them directly to make reservations.
